I took my first ceramics course at the Delaware Art Museum after I tore my ACL playing basketball in 2015. Since then, I have taken classes and held residencies at the Hawaii Potter’s Guild, Glendale Community College, and Cobb Mountain of Art and Ecology.

My pieces are co-created with the natural world. I am inspired by the shapes of nature - the bend of the oak tree, the whisper of the eucalyptus leaves, the fizzures of the sea.

A majority of my work is wood-fired, where the glaze is made from the burning and melting ash; a consistent stoking of the fire vitrifying the ware. Other pieces, are finished with a wild clay that I have dug from around my home in Southern California.

I am also inspired by the ritual and ancestral ceramic practices, especially those of Catholic and ancient Sicilian rites.

If you are interested in a commission or any of the work shown, please email.

The potter
standing breath cold
at thebricked opening of the kiln
patiently, giving
fallen oak and pine to the flame
trusting the ash
to burn
melt
and settle as
the flame
the stone
the wind and the rain has decided is right.
